What is the area of tympanum(ear drum)?

ear has three parts external ear, middle ear, internal ear.external ear constitute of the pinna and an auditory tube that are responsible of collecting and transmitting sound to the middle ear.middle ear consist of three bones that increase the intensity of these sound vibrations.at the junction of the external and middle ear lies the tympanic membrane.this membrane has function similar to that of the drum.when sound vibrations collide with this membrane the membrane start vibrating and these vibrations are transmitted to the bones of middle ear as these bones are attached to this membrane on it’s inner aspect.these bones start vibrating and transmit these vibration to the internal ear which convert these vibration into neural impulses that are transmitted to the brain.so the path followed by the sound vibrations is pinna>auditory tube>tympanic membrane>middle ear bones[malleus, incus, stapes]>internal ear>auditory nerve>brain[auditory area].i think it is the tympanic membrane that you are
