What is the AR Reading Program?
AR stands for Accelerated Reading. This program starts in January after our Christmas Break. Each child is tested on the computer to find their reading level. Each week in the Library your child must choose an AR book in his/her level range. They also can choose a free choice book or another AR book. After they have read the book, they sign up for a quiz. They can take the quiz in class, the library or the computer lab on Thurs. Your child will receive a print out stating if they passed or not. I am keeping track of the “passes” and when they get to 10 they get a prize from me.
