What is the appropriate attire to wear for an interview? What about jewelry, hair and footwear?
Make it a point to dress professionally at all times. Although some employers are less formal than others, the legal environment in general is extremely conservative and the CPC wants to assist you in making an excellent first impression. Be sure to take care of the basic hygiene requirements prior to your interview. Also, this is not the time to show the latest non-professional fashion trends. Men: DO wear suits or slacks with a jacket, dress shirt and tie. Have a clean shave and neat haircut. DO NOT wear shorts, jeans, or sneakers. Women: DO wear suits (pants or skirts) or office dresses with a jacket. Hair, nails and make-up should be neat and fresh. DO NOT show bare arms, sleeveless tops (except under suit jacket), cleavage, glitter or excessive jewelry. No sundresses, shorts, or mini-skirts. No open-toe shoes. The Fall 2007 OCI Handbook (Phase II) will be available in the CPC offices and online in August 2007. If you have any questions, comments or problems, please contact Nirva P
