What is the approach taken to sport at Quintilian?
There is a wide and diverse range of sporting teams and activities on offer at Quintilian. The emphasis is on fitness, fun and skill development. The aim is to encourage participation in a varied physical education program rather than on the competitive aspect of sport. All children are involved in class or cluster phys-ed sessions each week, as well as regular fitness sessions. The phys-ed sessions include a wide range of activities at different levels and some of the more recent activities have been: squash, athletics, yoga, karate, ice-skating, gymnastics, soccer, sailing, dance, canoeing, football and many more. In addition the school provides extra-curricula sports options in the areas of: basketball, tennis, netball, minkey, touch football and cricket.
