What is the application process like?
For most programs, the application consists of the following: a completed application form, two references (from an academic advisor or faculty member), AUC official transcripts, a statement of purpose, and a non-refundable application fee. After completing and submitting the application, you will have an interview with the Director of Study Abroad. You will then be notified if you are accepted into the program.
On the conventional (market rate) units you will fill out a two page application which can be found on this site, a credit report will be pulled, and your past and previous landlords will be reached. If it is a tax credit or section 8 property, the application process is slightly more involved. Please contact Arbors for details.
All applicants must submit a complete written application form no later than the deadline. These applications will be reviewed through a blind process and selected applicants will be invited to interview. A portion of those interviewed will be invited to participate in the program. Each semester, a number of applicants will be selected as alternates. Failure to attend an interview and/or any mandatory meetings will result in an applicant’s withdrawal from the application process.
