What is the application process for early entrance into kindergarten?

0

By Minnesota Law, for a child to be considered for early entrance into kindergarten, he or she must first have been through the screening process for early childhood education. In addition to this initial screening, an application for early entrance into kindergarten must be obtained, completed and postmarked on or before May 13, 2011 for the 2011-12 school year (late applications will automatically be denied). A copy of the child’s birth certificate, a letter of reference from a daycare provider and/or an early childhood educator, and a copy of the pre‐school screening summary must be attached. Once applications have been screened, parents will receive a letter informing them whether or not the process will move forward with a formal evaluation of their child.
