What is the application deadline?
Domestic Application Deadline: January 15 To ensure priority consideration, domestic applicants should complete their application file with the Department and the Graduate School by January 15 for autumn quarter admission. Domestic applications completed after January 15 may be reviewed on a space-available basis, but consideration of late applications is not guaranteed. Applicants whose files are completed on time are assured consideration for departmental financial support, if requested. International Application Deadline: January 15 The department’s international application deadline for autumn quarter is January 15. You must submit the materials required by the department and the Office of Graduate Admissions by January 15 to be considered for autumn quarter admission. The Graduate School’s deadline for receiving all application materials is January 3. You must meet this deadline to be considered for special fellowships, such as the George W. Woodruff Fellowship, the Emory Graduate Diversity Fellowship and the Arts and Sciences Fellowships. (All eligible applicants are considered for these fellowships, for which no separate application is required.) Some program deadlines fall before the Graduate School deadline, as early as December 1. If you apply to a program with a deadline before January 3, you must meet the program deadline. Check with program you are interested in to verify current application deadlines.
The deadline for entry in the autumn is normally July 31st — but since the programme may fill up before that we recommend early application. We do occasionally consider late applicants — but please note that eligibility for the Edwin Rudd Scholarship (see above) is limited to those who have applied before June 30th. There is no spring entry to the programme.
The priority application deadline is December 15,2008.Candidates are strongly encouraged to apply early as interview events fill up quickly.
