What is the application deadline?
Our final application deadline was Monday, March 30, 2009. Applicants will be informed of their interview status within two weeks from the application deadline they meet. All applications must include the application questions, professional resume, and a complete application form. Applicants will be required to bring copies of transcripts at the interview day. If selected for an interview, candidates will be notified of their selection status within two weeks of their interview date.
Please make every effort to complete all required forms on or before the priority deadline listed below for each quarter. If you apply later, you may still be able to receive a loan however, your loan funds may not be available at the beginning of the quarter. Federal Work-Study and Perkins funds are limited and offered on a first-come first-served basis. You are strongly urged to complete your application by the priority deadline, but not later than four to six weeks prior to the date in which you need the loan funds. Especially if you are applying for federal assistance, it is important that Student Loan Administration staff members have time after receiving your FAFSA data electronically to help you resolve any unforeseen issues that may arise as a result. It varies from provider to provider. If the program is offered by a third party provider students should check with them to see what deadlines are in place. Program deadlines for SFA faculty led programs are October 15 for spring break programs and December 1 for summer programs. These can be extended if space permits so please check with the OIP for a particular program you are looking in to.
Applications received by us are evaluated in the month in which they are received on a rolling basis. Admissions are offered to deserving candidates without waiting for the last date. Though the last date to apply for the November 2009 intake is September 14, 2009 it is advisable to apply as soon as possible as all seats may be filled before then.
