What is the application deadline and exact process?
Application dates are March 1 (for Summer and Fall admission) AND October 1 (for spring and summer admission). Once you complete your on-line application and pay the fee your files are then sent to our Office of Student Affairs (803) 777-6732) in the College of Education. At that time you will receive notice regarding any missing components of your file. Once your file is complete then the file is forwarded to the Program in Special Education. Again we do not receive ANY applications until all of the FIVE components listed above have been received. After we receive applications we schedule interviews after March 25 and October 25. The interviews last 30 minutes and are informational in nature. In addition, each applicant will be given one hour to read and critique an article for the writing sample.
