What is the application and selection process like?
Applications are submitted online and will be reviewed by a selection panel of Detroit Revitalization Fellows Program staff and outside experts to identify semifinalists. Semifinalists will be interviewed by panels consisting of staff, community leaders and others. These panels will identify Finalists. Finalists will interview with organizations most suited to the Finalists’ preferences and strengths. After initial interviews, preferred candidates may be asked to visit the offices of these organizations, and to participate in additional employment interviews. [back to top] After the Finalist interviews are completed, finalists will submit a list of the organizations they would like to work with in order of preference, and state any conditions or preferences for their participation in the program.
