What is the appeal of English-style/beer-battered fish and chips?
True fish n’ chips is fantastic. The fish inside isn’t all that flavorful – usually a cod or other firm white fish. It actually benefits from the batter and if made correctly, if fluffy & light. The fried potatoes are a given – who can turn down crisp, fried potatoes? The additional sprinkling of malt vinegar on both is pure heaven. In fact, I’d just about kill for some now!
