A. The APMA is the American Podiatric Medical Association and they awarded their Seal of Acceptance for SecondWinds Shoe Goo II in 1991. Podiatrists use Shoe Goo II in their practices for very specialized applications such as making: Varus Heel Wedging, Forefoot Varus Wedging, Forefoot Valgus Wedging, Metatarsal Bar, The Kirby Heel Modification and Anterior Posting. These special applications are used by the Podiatrists as preventative measures for some of their patients foot/shoe related problems. Consumers can also use Shoe Goo II to build-up excessively worn down areas on the out-soles of their shoes. This type of application can be used to help prevent foot, knee and hip problems associated with excessively worn down shoes.
