What is the ANSARI X PRIZE?
It is a $10 million prize for the first privately-built vehicle that can carry three adults into space and return safely to Earth, then repeat the flight within two weeks. Twenty-seven teams from seven nations have registered to compete for the ANSARI X PRIZE. Each team has taken a different technological approach to solving the challenge. More than a dozen teams around the globe are now building, testing and flying hardware.
