0

The Annual Young Parents Regatta brings together rowing teams from Massachusetts and Connecticut to compete in a 2,000 meter race at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. Teams are made up of young women, all who had their children while teenagers, and include the Proud Mamas team from Children’s Hospital Boston’s Young Parents Program (YPP). The Regatta was founded by the Rowing Strong, Rowing Together (RSRT) program at The Care Center, an alternative education center for teenage mothers in Mount Holyoke, Mass.
