What is the Anderson Ranch Workshop Program?
The Ranch’s workshop program began over than 30 years ago, and more than 30,000 individuals have taught or attended classes in that time. Presently, we offer classes year-round with approximately 160 different workshops in multiple interest areas: ceramics, film and digital photography, new media, drawing & painting, woodworking & furniture design, printmaking, sculpture, and woodturning. We also offer seminars on art history, critical studies and contemporary art, studio intenstives and field expeditions. In addition, we offer workshops for children from age 6 to late teens. Summer Workshops begin after Memorial Day and run through the end of September, Fall Workshops run October through December and Spring Workshops run February through April. They range in length from two days to three weeks. More than 1,300 adults and children attend the Ranch’s workshops each year.
