What is the Anderson Ranch Artists Residency Program?
Created in 1985, the artists’ residency program is designed to provide artists with focused time for open exploration and completion of work in a supportive setting. Residents use the Ranch’s space and facilities for conceptual development, intensive production of work, and interaction and collaboration with other residents. The residency program is intended for independent artists who are adept at the use of equipment and processes in the areas in which they choose to work. Studio areas supported by the program include: ceramics, digital imaging, furniture design, painting and drawing, installation, photography, printmaking and sculpture. Recent visiting artists have included: Donald Fortescue, Andrea Gill, Jane Dickson, Gregory Amenoff, Ron Meyers and David Hilliard.
