WHAT IS THE AMERICAN FILM MARKET (AFM)?
The American Film Market is a marketplace where over $800 million in production and distribution deals are closed annually. Each year, more than 8,000 people from over 70 countries convene in Santa Monica for eight days of screenings, deal making and hospitality. It is also an environment where it is possible to secure production financing for feature projects. Although over 450 feature films are expected to screen this year, the AFM is not a festival and there are no competitions or prizes.
