The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Archives is a collection of primary and secondary source materials, photos, publications and memorabilia located in the Moorland Spingarn Research Center at Howard University in Washington, D.C. • MISSION STATEMENT • HOW TO USE IT Anyone wishing to use the collection should contact the archivist at the HowardUniversity Moorland Spingarn research center. Call in advance to ascertain opening and closing times. Note- although the majority of the collection is open tothe public, a l imited number of materials are only open to members of Alpha Kappa Alpha. If trying to access restricted materials, make sure to take proof of membership with you. • HOW TO MAKE A DONATION Donations may be sent directly to the archivist. Call for the address. If postage/shipping fees are a problem, contact the chair of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Archives/Heritage Committee.
