• $11 billion of Qualified School Construction Bonds authority is to be allocated in 2009 and divided between the states and certain large school districts. The states will receive 60 percent of the national limitation, and the remaining 40 percent of the national limitation is allocated to “large educational agencies” including the 100 agencies with the largest numbers of 5- to 17-year-old children from families living below the poverty level; and up to 25 additional agencies selected by the Secretary or Education. • In Ohio, the following school districts qualify as “large educational agencies” and receive the following allocations in 2009: -Akron City School District – $15,062,000 -Cincinnati City School District – $25,632,000 -Cleveland Municipal School District – $53,145,000 -Columbus City School District – $36,372,000 -Toledo City School District – $21,460,000 -The State of Ohio was allocated an additional $267,112,000.
