What is the Alliance for Biomedical Advances?
Spearheaded by the Chronic Disease Prevention and Control Research Center at the Baylor College of Medicine, the Alliance for Biomedical Advances provides a forum for productive dialogue where diverse members of the biomedical research community can come together to promote shared interests and address impediments to collaboration between the public and private sectors that consequently threaten the advancement of the U.S. biomedical research enterprise. Through this new alliance, the BCM team will convene national experts to frame the debate about major challenges affecting biomedical research and provide a transparent process for discussion, debate, information sharing and consensus-building on these issues through meetings, workshops, and web-based programs.
