What is the Alen CADR rating?
The Alen unit has not been submitted for the CADR testing as neither have other leading air purifier brands. The CADR testing does not reflect the amount of particles that are removed by the air purifier which is best done through a particle counter nor does it take into account any ozone that is produced. The units that test well on CADR utilize primarily electrostatic or high levels of ionization which charges the particles but doesn’t necessarily remove them. HEPA units are penalized since the filter media is more dense and does not permit as much air flow, which the CADR test values.
