What is the airline doing to address Greenhouse Gas Emissions?
In addition to our carbon offset programs, NatureAir is investing in an integrated management approach, focussing on reducing emissions and maximising efficiency, including: • Alternative Energies: Thru our Fuel Aviation Company Aerotica, we have developed and launched Costa Ricas only private bio-fuel filling station. Thru this program we are able to fuel our company vehicles and equipment using 100% bio-diesel (a mix of vegetable oils and recycled cooking oils). We estimate this will reduce roughly 160 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year alone. • Operational: We have worked hard to improve our flight schedules and plans which have helped keep our flights on time and improve fuel efficiencies by over 7% in the last 4 years. • Reuse and Recycle: For two years now we have provided recycling bins in our corporate offices and over 80% of the airports we serve.
