What is the air filter? How often should it be changed?
Real lung, the air filter protects the engine of the attacks of outside pollutants (dusts). If it is in poor condition, it can cause certain misfunctioning: • Increase of fuel consumption, • Introduction of dusts in the carbureactor or in the injection system. Filter changes make engines less polluting and more efficient. Engines consumes less fuel. Advice • Change air filters every year to keep engines as efficient as possible. • To check an air filter, take it out and look through it. If daylight goes through it, air can also go through it. If the filter is opaque, air does not go through it. It is necessary to change it. • Never clean an air filter with compressed air. By doing so, you would damage it.
