What is the aim of the professional standards work?
We want to deliver standards of professionalism which inspire consumer confidence and build trust and, in time, we want financial advice to be seen as a profession on a par with others. This will not work in isolation, and the RDR is also dealing with the vital issues of adviser remuneration and clear service offerings for consumers.
