What is the aim of the Partners for Development Program?
• The Partners for Development Program aims to support the initiative, innovation, and expertise of Canadians working in international development. It will fund the best partners and aid projects based on a fair, transparent, and competitive selection process. • • The Partners in Development Program will be divided into five catagories: • • Projects between $100,000 and $2 million (up to $30 million annually) • Projects over $2 million (up to $95 million annually) • Knowledge partners (up to $20 million annually) • Volunteer cooperation (up to $50 million annually) • University partners (up to $25 million annually) • The Partners for Development Program will concentrate half of its funding in CIDA’s 20 countries of focus. The remaining 50 percent will support initiatives in all countries eligible for official development assistance. • • The Partners for Development Program will also ensure that 80 percent of its partnership investments align with the three priority themes announced on
