The Heroes of Might and Magic games are strategy games where the player controls a hero and collects troops either from the hero’s castle or by allowing people to join their party. A hero can be one of many races: Wizard, warlock, overlord, knight, witch, cleric, barbarian, battle mage, warrior, alchemist, beastmaster, death knight, demoniac, druids, heretic and necromancer. Once the player has chosen their hero, they are placed in the relevant starting point, for example, a knight will be placed in a castle, a barbarian will be placed in stronghold, a beastmaster in a fortress, an overlord in a dungeon, a demoniac in an inferno, a wizard in a tower, a necromancer in a necropolis and so on.
