The 17th Annual Heart & Sole AIDS Walk is on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at Chase Palm Park’s Soccer Field on Cabrillo near Garden Street in Santa Barbara. AIDS Walk registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and the Walk starts at 10:00 a.m. The route is 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) along the beach on Cabrillo Boulevard. The walk ends with a beachside celebration featuring free snacks, live music, free massages, and an awards ceremony for the top fundraisers and most inspiring walkers. Where does the money go? All funds raised by the AIDS Walk support HIV education and prevention activities, 2 food pantries for HIV positive clients and their families, free individual and group therapy, primary health care, and quality of life programs. The Heart & Sole AIDS Walk is Pacific Pride Foundations largest fundraiser of the year. Every dollar you raise directly supports Pacific Pride Foundations HIV programs in Santa Barbara County.
