What is the age range of the child that I may request?
The children that are available for adoption range in age from six months and older. Most children placed are approximately 9 to 10 months of age at the time they are referred to the family. You request the gender and age group of the child that you wish to parent and are eligible for and China then matches you with a child of that gender in the approximate age group. Families who are age 45 and older may be asked to adopt a slightly older child, usually under 18 months of age.
