TR35 winners must be under age 35 as of October 1 in the year they are honored. For 2011, nominees may not turn 35 before October 1, 2011. The sole exception is for female nominees who have borne at least one child at the time of their nomination. They must be under the age of 36; i.e., for 2011, such nominees may not turn 36 before October 1, 2011.
