What is the age most kids begin playing tennis (just wondering)?
——————————————- The text above is a follow-up to … —–Question—– Hi 🙂 I’m 13. I recently joined a gym with my parents, and it is huge, with loads of facilities. One of which is a tennis court place (well, there are like 6 courts), and I really wanted to start tennis. So my mum got me lessons there. But the thing is, the only one for my age group, which was an 11-14 year olds class, is Improvers. And they are all in championships and things. I went to my first lesson, and I didn’t even know how to hit the ball right! The instructor had to spend all his time teaching me how to hit the ball right, and at the end, he said he’d phone my mum and see if I could get one on one lessons. He said that everyone in the class I’m in has been playing since they were at least 8. So I’m not feeling very confident. I don’t know what to do. Should I quit that class, and go to another place. Or should I give up and start another sport? Or am I too late to start playing?
