What is the age limit to becoming an Air Force pilot?
Answer Hi Julian, Unfortunately you are too old. Last I heard the age limit was to start pilot training (UPT) by your 29.5 birthday. I have heard of people getting age waivers in the past but they are by far, very uncommon and all of those people “knew” someone or had personal ties to help them get the waiver. Sorry. Your best bet would be to talk with Air National Guard bases. They have the ability to waiver just about whatever they want at a fairly low level unlike the USAF. If you’re going to have a shot at UPT that’s where you’d find it. Red Flag is a large force exercise held at Nellis AFB, Las Vegas, NV. It is basically a simulated war with just about every jet in the inventory as well as Marines, Navy, Army and coalition forces being represented. It lasts 2 weeks and is held several times each year.
