What is the age limit for buying fireworks?
Generally, fireworks can only be sold to 18-year-olds and older. Note that some fireworks, particularly indoor fireworks such as party poppers can be sold to those aged 16 years and older. It is the retailer’s responsibility to determine the age of the potential buyer. Trading Standards Officers do make test purchases with young volunteers to ensure that retailers obey this law.
