What is the Affidavit of Support I-134?
The Affidavit of Support I-134 is a form used by a sponsor in order to show that the immigrant he/she is sponsoring has adequate means of financial support and is not likely to become a public charge while in the United States. The form can be used for diversity immigrants, students and public interest parolees. Those sponsoring family-based immigrants or employment based immigrants who are coming to work for relatives or for companies where relatives of the immigrant own 5 percent or more of the company must use the Affidavit of Support I-864.
