What is the advantage of low-e glass?
The energy from the sun radiation, which is most dangerous in its short wave spectrum, passes through the low-e glass unit. Gradually the heat is absorbed back’ from the surfaces of the objects inside the building by the glass unit, after which the energy reradiated is in the longer length of the wave (of the infrared spectrum which is not deemed harmful), and is finally reflected back into the room from the low-e glass. In this way the energy is kept inside the room. In this way energy is saved and the thermal efficiency of the building is improved.
