What is the advantage of a Digital Print over a Silk Screen Print?
Silk Screen uses the same technology for printing on a CD DVD as is used to make a T-Shirt. Paint or Ink is pressed through a “Screen” using a devise that creates a color image by aligning dots on the media. This limits the ability to make customizations to the print jobs without completely redoing the process. Quality is limited to the ability to create a high resolution screen, and the ability to line up the screens perfectly. Our Digital Printer uses Digital technology to send data to the Printer. This allows us to change the data on each individual disc as long as the background stays constant. The data can be fed directly to the printer via a simple Excel Spreadsheet.
