What is the adult summer reading program?
The Adult Summer Reading Program is a library program for adults 18 and older who check out books or audio materials from the library during the summer months. It’s simple: just read or listen to a book, list it in your reading log, turn it in and receive a raffle ticket for free prizes of your choice! Prize baskets contain donations from local area businesses, and two drawings will be held during the program; the first on July 20th, and the second at the end of the program. There will also be an optional scavenger hunt to discover little known facts about Allentown. The more books you read or listen to, the more chances you earn to win prizes! There is nothing to attend and you only need to stop in to the library to turn in your reading log if you choose not to do it online, and to register for the prizes you want to win… and to return your books, of course!
