What is the admission process?
For admission information please contact the Admissions Secretary on +44 (0)1721 722763 between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm, or the nurse on duty outside these hours. Professionals wishing to make a referral may wish to speak to our Consultant or to the Medical Director. Because we are a hospital we prefer to consult with the general practitioner regarding the patient’s medical status. Pre-admission assessments are conducted by our doctors and consultants.
Applicants should meet the application deadline of December 1st. The MSCP faculty then read all the applications and selects those applicants who meet our requirements. Those selected are then invited to come to Northeastern for an interview process. (If distance or cost is prohibitive we will give a telephone interview, but far prefer to meet the applicant.) This is usually held in March. All applicants come to a designated building and room where we introduce the faculty and explain the program in detail. We also provide information about housing and financial aid. Student questions are also addressed. We provide lunch and university tours as well as opportunities to speak with current students. The day ends after individual interviews for each applicant.
A. The application season runs from September 2008 through Thursday, January 15, 2009. During this time, candidates should complete the Preliminary Application form and return it with the required application fee no later than Thursday, December 11, 2008. Applying online allows you secure access to check the status of the application throughout the admission process via the universityprep.org Web site, including online access to your child’s admission decision on March 20, 2009. The Parent Statement and Student Essays should be completed as soon as possible and e-mailed to admissionoffice@universityprep.org. Applicants are invited to visit the school. During the visit, applicants observe classes, meet teachers and current students, and get an overall sense of the school. Parents/guardians are also invited to tour the school on the morning of their child’s visit day.
