What is the ACHA difference?
The ACHA was founded by and for the “weekend cutter.” At the time of its inception, the only avenue for Cutting Horse Competitions was extremely inhibitive. The “weekend cutter” could not compete for national titles or awards. Therefore, a group of cutters joined forces to establish the American Cutting Horse Association and vowed to provide the means for nation wide competition in which every member had a chance to participate.
