What is the ACES Program?
The Agricultural Conservation Experienced Services (ACES) Program, created and funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, begun in 2005 as a pilot project. The program places individuals age 55 and over in full-time and part-time positions at the Natural Resources Conservation Service. Authorized by the 2008 Farm Bill, the program offers temporary technical and professional support assignments. Participants receive paid health insurance and other benefits.
