The AAP has been accredited by the ACCME to provide CME since 1981. The ACCME has awarded the AAP with 5 consecutive 6-year accreditation decisions. Six years is the longest term the ACCME allows for accreditation. At the ’most recent AAP reaccredidation in 2005, the ACCME awarded the AAP with the Accreditation with Commendation, which is based on commendable and exemplary practices by CME providers.
