What is the Accounting Reference Date (ARD)?
The ARD is the financial year-end, according to which all financial statements are prepared. If the companys date of closure were moved to another date, Companies House must be informed promptly to avoid any unfavourable incident for the company. The accounts must be submitted before the deadline, which is set based on the companys ARD.
