What is the accommodation like, how much does it cost?
All our student residences are on a self catering basis (BUT SEE BELOW ABOUT CATERED PACKAGES) and are all single rooms grouped into flats of between 3 and 12 students who share one or two kitchens per flat. Flats in standard accommodation have shared bathrooms and showers etc (the vast majority of bedrooms have washbasins though) while rooms in the Lakeside Residences are all ensuite. (with washbasin, toilet and “power-shower” in your room). There is a small supermarket on campus “The Campus Shop” run by the Students Guild (our Students Union) and there are lots of supermarkets, markets and shops in the centre of Birmingham, 5-10 minutes walk away. There is also a wide choice of eating places on and close to campus if you don’t want to cook for yourself all the time. Common Rooms and TV lounges are also located around campus and there are two student Launderettes with over 25 washers and dryers for those other essential chores!
