According Article 5.6 of Decision 97/101/EC, the collected data from the countries have to be made available to the public via an information system. The same applies to data collected under the EuroAirnet framework. Airbase is the database holding all the collected data. AirBase data is accessible through Airview, and through XML dumps. Airview is an internet application allowing to query the contents of Airbase, which is refreshed regularly. The data is used by EEA, DG ENV and intergovernamental bodies, universities and other institutions interested in air quality studies in order to do assessments and analyses, and to produce reports on ambient air quality related subjects.
