The Pacific or Magmatic theory which says that the Philippines came into existence after the eruptions of volcanoes beneath the ocean and the piling up of what they threw out. This theory adds that the rocks, which include the cores of our mountain systems of today, are similar to the rocks found beneath the ocean. 3.The Asiatic theory, which states that the Philippines was once a part of continental Asia.
