What is the 8th deadly sin of show participation?
The 8th Deadly Sin: Don’t enter a quilt in a traveling venue if you can’t keep your commitment to the curator(s). We work extremely hard to get the venues for you, and in order to get them, we have to make commitments up front. It is extremely embarrassing to say nothing of what it does to our feelings to not receive quilts that were promised to us. And don’t send a quilt you KNOW is supposed to travel for a year and then ask to have it back for another show. Either make two quilts or think about these issues up front. This is unkind to your curator, and makes a real hardship.
