What is TFL?
TFL acts as a secondary insurance to Medicare, minimizing your out-of-pocket costs. In other words, claims will go to Medicare first and then to TFL. If the service is covered by both Medicare and TRICARE, Medicare coverage will pay first and TFL will then pay any Medicare deductibles, Medicare cost-shares and Medicare copayments.
