Texas Rising Star is a voluntary program where licensed or registered child care providers, participating with the CCS program, maintain higher standards, such as training hours, lower staff/child ratio, monitoring visits, etc., than what is demanded in minimum standards. Texas Rising Star providers receive recognition of their certification as a Texas Rising Star provider and may receive a higher reimbursement rate and additional paid holidays.
