What is Tennis/Golfers Elbow?
Tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow have become catch-all terms for general elbow pain that starts at the elbow and radiates down the arm, sometimes worsening when the hand or wrist is flexed. With tennis elbow, a patient experiences pain on and around the outer knobby protrusion of the upper arm bone. This condition is called lateral epicondylitis. Golfer’s elbow refers to pain on and around the knobby protrusion on the side closest to the body, technically called medial epicondylitis.
