What is temporary housing, where is it and how long are students in it?
If you are among the last students to apply for housing, you will most likely be assigned to temporary accommodations. Most spaces are located in campus residence halls guest apartments, study rooms furnished as student rooms, or in an RA room. If necessary, local hotel rooms may be used as a last resort and those students will be moved first to permanent spaces in the halls. Late cancellations, no-shows, and students leaving campus housing create permanent spaces in the early weeks of the fall semester. We try to keep you in the same hall or part of campus when possible. Residence Life staff provide assistance if you are moving from one hall to another.
