What is Telekinesis and how does it work?
Telekinesis, also called psychokinesis, is the paranormal ability to affect physical changes to objects using only the power of one’s mind. Though it has never been proved to exist, it does explain several experiences that people have reported in the past century. It is also one of the most commonly-claimed category of abilities after ESP and mediumship. Many charlatans use PK as “proof” of their psychic ability, while using stage magic and misdirection to achieve its effects. The abbreviation for psychokinesis is ‘PK’. Modern parapsychologists prefer the term “psychokinesis” over “telekinesis” because of the implications that each has: “psychokinesis” means “mind-moving” while “telekinesis” means “distance-moving”.
